ROBOT GRIPPERS FOR BOXING BOTTLES
Solaut produces grippers for palletizing, de-palletizing, canning of bottles and flacons.
Special gripping systems are also made for the combined movement of bottles / flacons and cartons / boxes.
Solaut also produces gripping elements for bags, for boxes and cluster-pack, for sheets and panels;
the links to the dedicated pages are listed below:
For the gripping of bottles and flacons, mechanical or vacuum heads can be used.
The types of grippers we produce are:
- grippers with mechanical grip heads
- grippers with vacuum grip
- combined grippers for bottles and box

MECHANICAL GRIPPERS
This type of gripper is the most used; It consists of a plate that carries a series of commercial gripping heads.
The use of commercial gripping heads has as main constraint the external diameter of the head
which must be less than the pitch between the bottles or flacons to be hooked.
Each row of heads has a photocell that verifies that all the heads of the row are correctly inserted
in the respective bottles / flacons.
The heads have an elastic spring-loaded assembly that facilitates the entrance.
A common feature of all the gripping elements is the possibility of quickly replacing the gripping plate
to obtain a quick format change.

VACUUM GRIPPERS
In applications where the wheelbase between the bottles-flacons is less than the diameter of the gripping head,
a perforated foam rubber gripping plate can be used with a vacuum generator for vacuum gripping.
An alternative to rubber mousse is suction cups.
This solution has several critical aspects: the difficulty in moving containers with a
height-to-diameter ratio of a suction cup greater than 3 considerably limits the field of use.
It will be difficult to use commercial suction cups; the construction of custom suction cups has significant costs.

BOTTLE AND BOX COMBINED GRIPPER.
The figure on the side shows a combined gripper, capable of hooking both the bottles and the boxes
in which the bottles have been inserted.
The gripping elements of the boxes can be either the grippers with a fixed jaw or self-centering and also suction cups.
