VERTICAL ACCUMULATION BUFFER CONVEYORS
Solaut produces vertical accumulation systems to be used in intermediate positions of the conveyor systems
or at the end of the line exiting from packaging machines.
The accumulators produced are divided into two types:

STRAIGHT BUFFERS WITH VERTICAL ACCUMULATION
The function of these devices is to create buffers within conveyor systems.
This type of machine allows the accumulation of parallelepiped and small-sized products
such as boxes and trays with a height equal to or less than the smaller of the other two.
The vertical accumulators allow you to:
- reduce the overall dimensions in plan intended to buffer
- the product is returned to the transport line in the same orientation as it was taken
- Accumulation of parallelepiped products that are difficult to accumulate on horizontal tables.
The accumulator consists of four elements, each of which can be supplied separately:
- vertical accumulator
- input and output roller conveyor
- electrical system on the machine
- electrical panel with PLC, operator panel and control software
The input-output roller conveyor is a conveyor with reduced pitch 50mm and 32mm roller diameter.
Between the rollers passes the comb of the accumulator which removes the product from the roller conveyor.
The accumulator has a series of combs that are filled with the product removed from the conveyor.
The accumulator is saturated when all the combs carry product.
The unloading phase is carried out by lowering one comb at a time so as to release the product on the roller conveyor.
Once the product has been evacuated from the roller conveyor, another comb is lowered.
ROTARY ACCUMULATION TABLE WITH VERTICAL ACCUMULATION
The rotating accumulation tables of our production, find application at the end of packaging lines
and in particular at the exit from a packaging machine,
allowing to realize the accumulation of the processed product.
The accumulated product is not put back into the production line,
it is removed by an operator who puts it in the containers for final packaging.
The rotary table with vertical storage consists of an rotary indexer typically 12 positions,
on which a circular plate is fixed which supports removable containers.
The containers receive the product coming from a conveyor belt;
each container has a vertically movable plate that supports the product to be accumulated.
The plates are moved vertically by a pair of pneumatic cylinders.
A first cylinder raises the plate of the container before it goes into the loading position.
When the rotary indexer moves one step, it brings an empty container to the loading position
with the plate all up.
A photoelectic sensors, installed on the product arrival conveyor,
detects and counts the arrival of each product unit.
A second one positioned in the upper part of the container,
commands the lowering of the plate to hold the pieces, during the arrival of the product
so as to maintain constant the support position of the product that arrives.
After completing the number of pieces for the loader,
the plate moves to the lower position and the intermittent unit advances one step.
The containers with the product are emptied by an operator:
to facilitate the removal of the product, the containers are removable.
This accumulator is supplied complete with:
- electrical panel with a PLC Omron CP1L
- operator panel NT2S (2 rows 16 characters)
- signaling column
- command and diagnostic software
- filter group, regulation with pressure switch
